Tuesday game story (trouble with host website)

Outlaws 15 Flyers 6

W - Kevin Altman (1-4) L - David Cross (1-1)

The Outlaws strike early with a 7 run third inning, and then put the game away for good with a 6 run fifth inning.

As the long nine game homestand draws near its end, the Outlaws erupted tonight with a huge offensive output, hanging 15 runs on Orange County for the second time this season.

The Outlaws did the bulk of their damage in just two innings. Trailing 2-0 going into the home half of the 3rd inning, the Outlaws first 8 batters reached base safely, beginning the seven run onslaught. Two walks in the inning forced runs home, and Gabriel Riley picked up two RBI on a single as well. Before all was said and done, 10 Outlaws would bat in the inning and Orange County starter David Cross would be knocked from the game.

The ballgame would tighten up in the middle innings. A two-run Robert Fick home-run made the score 7-5 at the midway point, but the Outlaws offense came to life again in the latter half of the inning. Scoring six more runs, augmented by two home-runs, the Outlaws would deliver a knockout punch and leave the inning with a 13-5 lead. Gabriel Riley had a two-run homer to push his RBI total on the night to four, and Jonny Ash hit a solo shot, his second of the year.

Kevin Altman pitched seven strong innings and got his first victory of the season. Blake Cull and Mikael Ryder each pitched an inning of relief to close out the ballgame.

The Outlaws are now 15-12 on the season and pick up a game in the North Division standings as Calgary lost tonight at home to Victoria. The Outlaws will face-off with Orange County a final time tomorrow with the series victor still in question. 7:05 pm start, as Donald Brandt goes to the mound for his second start of the year for the Outlaws. He'll be countered by Adam Johnson for Orange County.

  1. When I couldn't hear your broadcast I just went to the OC Flyer's webcast! I could hear you in the background...LOL

Also simultaneously used pointstreak to watch live....where there's a will there's a way!

  2. We were able to hear your webcast fine. I also use Pointstreak....
Where do they(Pointstreak) get their data feed? They didn't have the substitution, Underkoffler for Silverman.(Among other things).
You said the other day that you were under the weather...I hope you are feeling better.
So...what happens if you are so sick you can't do the webcast? Do you have a backup?
By the way...I much prefer the single broadcaster format. With two guys talking like the SF Giants do there is way too much chatter and not enough baseball.

Lookig forward to the game tonight..go Outlaws!
