Ho-ly Cow! What a night! Two Outlaws hit it out of the park, and humbly, I believe I might of as well. A much better performance from your play-by-play (pbp) man on Friday evening. No studders, Jim Rush-Ford came off the tongue fine and dandy, and the Outlaws charge out of the gate and get their first victory of the season.
The bus ride home was much more pleasurable. Boss man Cadaret was in an upbeat mood, as were the 22 guys on the bus, and I'll bet we get right back to it tomorrow night with the same vigor. Winning is good for the soul. Good like no other place than indy baseball. All about winning, all about results, and your Outlaws played a fantastic game tonight. All over the Toros from the start, five runs in the first three innings, and the bullpen and starter Michael Martin made it stand up, and here we are, 1-1 on the season.
Two more games here in Tucson before the home-opener. Long bus ride home to Nor Cal, but the clean fielding and solid batsmanship (don't know that that's a word..haha) and the Outlaws have that taste of victory now salivating.
And did I mention I love Tucson. What a city. I promise you, there's no better "desert city" in America. Over 2,000 feet in elevation, it gets hot but remains cool enough, the Catalina Mountain Range stands as a proud symbol of beauty over the city, and of course, the UA is here...(University of Arizona). I'm a proud two-semester alumnus. Moved on to the local community college and then Northern Arizona University up at 7000 ft. elevation in Flagstaff. Beautiful city, beautiful state. Wish we came here on more than just two trips, regardless of the zillion-hour bus ride.
Folks, tune in tomorrow night (tonight, Saturday) for the latest Outlaws action. I've settled in, the team is ready to start a streak, and whhhhhy not? Every pitch, with a 20 minute pre-game, right here at ChicoOutlaws.com.

Where is Steve Boggs????!!! I thought he was coming back but didn't see him on the roster??Hopefully a mistake because we got a huge group comin' up to Chico to see him play...could we get a current line up?? Thanks
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, Boggs was one of the last excruicating cuts made by the front office. While I never got to see him play, his stats speak for themself, and we all wish him the best in his baseball future.
