Hey there folks. The Comcast television broadcast was a roller-coaster of fun. We got Scott Navarro on (as you heard), and just watching the game on the preview monitor the Comcast folks set me up
with in the booth was a thrill. A whole barrel of fun. Although, ....no face time for old Joe Berg. My hackjob on my beard ended up being all for naught! Well...my Mom would be happy. The late running suspended game prevented us from doing a pre-game sit-down with manager Cadaret, but we'll get to that next time and get us both some on-screen time.
How I understand it, this crew from Yuba City produces a lot of local sports and airs them locally in the North State and sometimes aires them on Comcast in the Bay Area. Either way, all five of them produced a great looking broadcast, and again, unsure until I'll get a work-week phone call into the director, but the game should become available on Thursday on Comcasts On-Demand viewing for a nominal fee. I believe we'll get some DVD's sent up to us, and we'll see how far we can burn that along down the distribution chain.

The only bad thing of the night was that the seven game win streak is over. That just means we'll have to start another one. On the other hand, did the webcast levels come through alright? Did you enjoy a night off from the commercials, or did you miss the Chipotle jingles? Is everyone wanting more Scott Navarro?... Sorry for the abrupt close to the broadcast.

Joe,
ReplyDeleteYou were great, I laughed a lot with your comments... I also laughed at the end, when you closed the broadcast after asking if it was on or off...
Great and busy day...
Hey Joe!
ReplyDeleteThis is Maria... I was biting by nails yesterday, listening to the radio. I really would like a copy of the video like you said on air. ;-)
Also, who writes the articles on the Chico web page? I read Jo struck out only 7 batters but in the stats (Pointstreak) and in my count he struck 9 batters... That kinda makes him very close to being a SO leader for now. Something for me to keep track during the season.
Wish I was there, but while I cant I am sooooo glad to have your broadcast in my house every single day!
I felt so close that I almost offered you a coffee.
Maria
Hi Joe,
ReplyDeleteThe broadcast was great without the jingles.....I really am tired of hearing the worm farm jingle!
Oh......it's me again-and for that matter the Barber John "you're ugly" one is worn out too!
ReplyDeleteLOL .... YES... BARBER JOHN´S AD IS TERRIBLE!!! LOL
ReplyDeleteOUCH! Anyone out there have any personal messages or business they would like to advertise? Please please please, do call me/email me/comment me....
